Meet Kim Sanchez
In 1999, Kim walked into a local nonprofit to volunteer and never looked back! She’s worn every hat in a nonprofit: volunteer, board member, program supervision, and development. She collaborated with local community leaders to develop an essential emergency services program which led to her writing and receiving her first grant, paving the way for her second act. She caught the grants bug!
Kim is an evangelist for nonprofit strategy and believes that the lack of a well-thought-out plan can hurt an organization’s mission, fundraising, and bottom line. She attended California State University, Fullerton in Communications and the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Nonprofit Management Certificate. She is pursuing her Grant Professional Certified (GPC). Today, Kim lives in the Heart of Texas with her husband Damien (the Zookeeper) on their farm and spends her spare time getting out into nature, crafting stained glass projects, and refurbishing furniture.
